8 Days Luxury Uganda Safari for those who need a mix of primate encounters and game viewing. 8 Days Luxury Uganda Safari takes to Uganda’s notable parks including Kibale, Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After have a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi before you start a drive back to Kampala. On arrival you are welcomed by our guide at ebb airport. Transfer to your hotel in Kampala for an overnight.
Itinerary: 8 Days Luxury Uganda Safari
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Kibale
Have morning breakfast and after check out to start the drive to Kibale forest national park in the western part of Uganda. This journey takes about 5-6 hours. You will reach in time for lunch and after check in at the lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking
Early in the morning after breakfast transfer with your driver guide to the Kanywanchu tourism center for short briefing conducted.
After, the journey to the Jungle starts in search for the chimps. After locating them you are allowed to stay in their presence for some time while seeing them feeding, laughing, playing plus taking photos and videos of them.
Besides Chimps, you see other species in the Jungle such as monkeys like L’Hoest monkey, Black and White colobus monkeys, Red colobus monkeys and more, insect species and different bird species.
After return to the lodge for lunch. In the evening you take a guided nature walk through the Bigodi wetland to see different bird species.
Day 3: Kibale – Drive to Queen (evening game drive)
After two nights in Kibale, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Later in the evening, you will do a game drive in the Mweya Peninsula exposing you to different Wild animals like Buffaloes, Warthogs, Antelopes, Elephants and more.
Day 4: Game drive & Boat cruise in Queen
Have a morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains to see Wild animals like Kobs, tree climbing lions in Ishasha, buffaloes, antelope species, leopards, waterbucks, elephants, hippos and warthogs.
After Game drive, drive straight to Mweya canteen for lunch and after have a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel for several panoramic views of different aquatic species like hippos, crocodiles and more.
Day 5: Queen – Transfer to Bwindi
Early in morning you have en route game viewing journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector route.
Chances are high that you will sight the famous tree climbing lions resting up in the fig tree branches, lunch is provided en route.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
After breakfast in the morning. Transfer to the park offices to be briefed about the gorilla trekking and how to behave while in the jungles.
After a journey is started to the Jungle in a group of eight people plus park rangers following the permanently established trails heading to the Jungle in search for the apes.
When you locate them you are allowed to stay in their presence for only one hour while seeing them playing with young ones, feeding, laughing and wandering around. After gorilla trek head back to the lodge for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 7: Lake Bunyonyi (Boat cruise)
This full day in Bunyonyi is for relaxation to ease yourself from the stress and fatigue. Have a relaxing boat cruise on the waters and visit various islands that dot this beautiful lake.
Day 8: Drive back to Kampala
Have morning breakfast and check out to start the journey to Kampala or Entebbe airport for your return flight. It includes a stopover in Mbarara for lunch.
